An inspection of the facility was completed on September 10,2019,to satisfy the compliance
inspection schedule for the permit and conduct a site review of the facility for permit rescission.
The remediation system is no longer operating or connected to the subsurface.The majority of
remediation system components have been removed from the site excluding the air compressor.
The air compressor and shed will remain on site and will be utilized by the property owner.The air
compressor has no connection to any part of the former remediation system.The infiltration
galleries have been abandoned by pressure grouting.All wells (recovery,air sparge and
monitoring)associated with the system have been abandoned by grouting with the exception of
MW-2 and MW-10 which were not a part of the WQ permit(2014 version).Those monitoring wells
will remain per the UST Section for groundwater monitoring purposes.Two subsurface conduits
(one two inch PVC leading to the infiltration gallery and one four inch PVC connected to the
abandoned recovery well)were partially grouted where they connect to the gallery and well.The
conduits open end portion terminate at the surface adjacent to the remediation shed.RRO
recommends that the conduits are completely grouted(abandoned)by filling the open end
sections observed adjacent to the remedlation shed.RRO recommends permit rescission
after documentation of the abandonment is received by the CO. Please contact me at(919)
