My employer, Noah Construction, has been affected like many others in the nation by the forces of the economy. We have placed all of our projects on hold as we continue our search to find sources of funding; I've included a message I had sent to Ms. Debbie Edwards a few weeks back so you can see my involvement in the project. I request an extension of the deadline from September 12, 2009 deadline to at least October 12, better would be November 12. We do intend on completing this project and need to keep the DWQ process active. If you have any questions or need to contact me, please find the information on the included business card. Thank you for your time and I hope we'll be back to work on this on all other projects soon. Kin regards, David Lane &L'A S E P ro 1 2;1'0n M I NR DENR . As a result of these issues however, I need to inform you that I have been directed to temporarily stop work on this project, until we receive payment. As a project manager though, I wanted to make sure you understand the Request for More Information letter from the Division of Water Quality (see attached). They will need to receive a response from someone representing this project within 30 days of the date of the letter (September 12, 2009) in order to keep this project active. Therefore, a simple letter requesting an extension of time to respond and an estimated date as to when the additional information can be supplied is all that is necessary. For what it is worth, I do hope things turn around for you and Noah Construction. The last update that I've received is that we're still weeks away from receiving anything that will put us back on top and allow everything to be paid to date and begin to start projects back up. I understand the huge amount of frustration that is being felt by many of you from having to field daily calls about past- due invoices on the various projects I am involved in with. And believe me when the time arrives that we have funds available to clear things up, I will be on the phone constantly to notify you all when payments are expected to be made. Until then, please bear with us, I have just about as much access to information as the higher-ups over here as they are being very open about the situation and how things are progressing. Sincerely, David Lane 9/9/2009
