Hanes Mill Road— Suite 300 Winston Salem,NC 27105 Re: Cambridge Park Phase IA Pump and Haul Permitting Dear Justin: Enclosed you will find a Pump and Haul Sewer Application package for a proposed subdivision in the City of Mebane for your review. Items included in this package consist of a check for$1,310.00, P&H 01-16 application, letter from receiving authority, letter from hauler and USGS Map. This project is called Cambridge Park Phase IA, located on Jones Drive in Mebane, NC. This permit consists of 65 single family lots for sale and is the first phase of a larger subdivision. This project is served by an onsite gravity sewer system flowing to a proposed pump station ultimately tying on to an existing City of Mebane sewer system. The estimated daily average flow rate for Phase IA is 18,480 GPD based on a mix of 3-4-bedroom homes. Construction of this project began in late Spring of 2018. In early 2019, the City of Mebane requested the developer to redesign for an increase in pumping capacity of the lift station as well as making modifications to the size and alignment of the associated force main and gravity outfall. These revised plans were approved in June of 2019. Construction has begun on the lift station, force main and gravity outfall with completion anticipated during the second week of November 2019. Site development of the 65 lots is expected to be completed by the end of August with a plat recorded in early September 2019. Home construction would begin shortly thereafter and the first homes are expected to be completed in late December 2019 or early January 2020. While the lift station should be operational prior to the first homes being occupied, we are requesting the temporary pump and haul permit to be in place prior to plat recordation in September as further insurance for the home builder. In working with the City of Mebane, we have determined two Pump and Haul locations that accommodate the 24-hour storage capacity requirement. Please see the attached maps and documents. I The first location would be the pump station wet well located on Turner Road. Alarm elevations would be temporarily adjusted as noted during the Pump and Haul process. The wet well and associated gravity outfall storage would be approximately 14,746 gallons per the attached summary. Access, alarms, and telemetry would already be in place at the station. The second location would be located at manhole number 18 on the on-site outfall. This manhole would be raised two feet in elevation to achieve approximately 7572 gallons of storage within the outfall and manholes per the attached summary. A new gravel access drive would be provided as shown along with a solar powered alarm and telemetry system. Should the need arise for this Pump and Haul permit to be implemented, we would anticipate initial pumping to occur at the lift station wet well. Once we exceed 10,000 GPD at this location, we would begin the process to make the second location functional to allow for the full capacity of the 65 lots. We ask for the effective date of the permit to be September 1, 2019 and for the pump and Haul to continue until the lift station, force main and offsite gravity lines are operational. No flows other than the 65 single family homes will be tributary to this permit. Please let me know if you have any questions. ' cerely, I Robert E.
