Pump & Haul Request Cover Letter

Corvid Technologies is constructing its new Headquarters in Mooresville, NC and would like to
request for a Pump and Haul permit in order to occupy the building while the remainder of the
utility work is complete. All of these utilities will be taken over by the Town of Mooresville
upon completion. A quick summary of the project and related calculations for usage is below.

The HQ building is 4 floors and approximately 88,000 SF. The Data Center is 1 floor and
25,000 SF. The Corvid site work and building construction began in June of 2018 and we
anticipate beginning to move into the new space in mid/late August with 155 employees. Note,
only the 41h and half of the 3`d floor will be fully built out day 1 so we will not be occupying all 4
floors until we lease out the remaining space to tenants. The Langtree Campus Drive (new road
being built to connect the building to Transco Rd) Public Bid process was delayed several
months for a myriad of reasons but it is on track to be complete in mid/late August, however, the
full Force Main install likely will not be fully complete until October. The roadwork, gravity
sewer and waterline will be complete in mid/late August, so we will be able to get our Certificate
of Occupancy at that time. We only anticipate needing the Pump and Haul permit for a couple of
months, Le, mid -late August to mid/late October.
Flow Rate Calcs From Bloc Design:

General business and office facilities (25 gal/employee/shift) average daily flow
For the 155 employees anticipated for the first 6 months, you are looking at 3,875 gpd average
sanitary sewer flow.

The Town of Mooresville will accept wastewater at its Rocky River Wastewater Treatment Plant
(RRWWTP) via a temporary pump and haul for the above referenced project. We will accept
this discharge only at the headworks of the RRWWTP, located at 369 Johnson Dairy Road. No
discharge may be made at any other location within the collection system.
This approval extends to the following parameters only:

Approved Duration: 6 months from commencement
Approved Discharge: Domestic
Approved Volume: 3,875 gallons
Approved Discharge Times: 8:00 a.m. — 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday

We will charge 18 cents per gallon, with a minimum of 3500 gallons. This does not

"Division of Water Resources INSTRUCTIONS FOR FORM P&H 01-16 & SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION
Documents shall be prepared in accordance with 15A NCAC 02T .0100, 15A NCAC 02T .0200, and Division policies. Failure to submit
all required items will necessitate additional processing and review time. For more information, visit the Wastewater Branch's
website or contact the Regional Office serving your county.
General — This permit application applies to all pump and haul activities of wastewater under the authority of the Division on Water
Resources. Permit coverage is required for the system producing the wastewater. This permit does not apply to the transport of
animal waste from an animal waste management systems, not the transport of wastewater residuals or biosolids.
NOTE: Pump and haul permits are not acceptable long term domestic wastewater treatment alternatives and shall only be issued
in cases of environmental emergencies, nuisance conditions, health problems, or for unavoidable delays in construction of system
previously permitted by the Division.
The Applicant shall submit one original and one copy of the application and supporting documentation.

C. Wastewater Pump and Haul (FORM: P&H 01-16) Application:
® Submit the completed and appropriately executed Wastewater Pump and Haul (FORM: P&H 01-16) application. Any
unauthorized content changes to this form shall result in the application package being returned. If necessary for clarity or
due to space restrictions, attachments to the application may be made, as long as the attachments are numbered to
correspond to the section and item to which they refer
D. Receiving Facility Letter:
® Submit a letter from the owner/authority of the receivingwastewater treatment facility, as required by 15A NCAC 02T .0204
(b), stating that the pumped and hauled wastewater will be accepted and specifying the volume and type of wastewater that
will be accepted. The letter should be signed by an authorized signing official in accordance with 15A NCAC 02T .0106(b)
E. Contract Hauler Letter:
® Submit a letter from the hauler stating their capability and willingness to perform the pump and haul activity

F. Certifications:
