Dear Sir:
SUBJECT: Replacement of Bridge No. 71 on SR 1545 Over
High Point Lake north of Jamestown, Guilford
County, (B-2040)
The North Carolina Department of Transportation intends to replace
the above reference bridge facility with a new structure in existing

It is anticipated that proposed construction may be authorized by
the General Permit for bridge replacement (SAWCO-82-N-000-0031).
Application is hereby made for a Department of Army permit as
required for such activity. Attached is the permit application
and drawings depicting proposed work. By copy of this letter, we
are also requesting that Section 401 Water Quality Certification
be issued by the N. C. Department of Natural Resources and
Community Development.
If you have any questions, please call V. Charles Bruton at
733-7842.
