Constructing improvements on ebsting alignment in extsting right-of-way.

All construction equipment will be staged and operated from upland areas. DOT will also install silt fencing to protect the streams and wetlands
adjacent to the project. Safety fencing will be used to delineate jurisdictional and environmentally sensitive areas from encroachment.

Red -cockaded woodpecker (RCW) is included in the IPaC TE list dated July 23, 2019. RCW foraging, or nesting habitat was not found adjacent to the
project area. NCNHP database records no element occurrence within a mile of the project area. (No Affect) / Neuse River Waterdog is included in the
IPaC TE list dated July 23, 2019. The "Proposed Threatened" listing for this species was announced May 2019. This species is active during cold
water events of Winter and early Spring. Therefore, there has not been an appropriate widowof conditions to conduct survey for this species. Surveys
will be conducted when required by T&E protocols. NCNHP database records no element occurrence within a mile of the project area. (unresolved) H
Carolina Madtom ('Proposed Threatened) is included in the IPaC TE list dated July 23, 2019. The "Proposed Threatened" listing for this species was
announced May 2019. There has not been an appropriate widow of conditions to conduct survey for this species. Surveys will be conducted when
required by T&E protocols. NCNHP database records no element occurrence within a mile of the project area. (unresolved) /// Atlantic Pigtoe (AP)
('Proposed Threatened) is included in the IPaC TE list dated July 18, 2019. The proposed impacted jurisdictional feature is an excavated intermittent
blue line stream that has seasonal flow and no habitat for Atlantic Pigtoe. Also, reviewof the 12-digit HUC GIS element occurrence layer shows this
species is not included for the project identified 12-digit HUC. NCNHP database element occurrence shows Atlantic Pigtoe is in a 12-digit HUC two 12-
digit HUC units to the east of the project site (Cattail / Little River Subbasin); approximately 7 miles from the project site. (No Affect) //// Dwarf
Wedgemussel is included in the IPaC TE list dated July 23, 2019. The proposed impacted jurisdictional feature is an excavated intermittent blue line
stream that has seasonal flow and no habitat for Dwarf Wedgemussel. Also, reviewof the 12-digit HUC GIS element occurrence layer shows this
species is not included for the project identified 12-digit HUC. NCNHP database element occurrence shows Dwarf Wedgemussel is in a 12-digit HUC
two 12-digit HUC units to the east of the project site (Cattail / Little River Subbasin); approximately 7 miles from the project site. (No Affect) ///// Tar
River Spinymussel is included in the IPaC TE list dated July 23, 2019. The proposed impacted jurisdictional feature is an excavated intermittent blue
line stream that has seasonal flow and no habitat for Tar River Spinymussel. Also, reviewof the 12-digit HUC GIS element occurrence layer shows this
species is not included for the project identified 12-digit HUC. NCNHP database element occurrence shows Tar River Spinymussel is in a 12-digit HUC
two 12-digit HUC units to the east of the project site (Cattail / Little River Subbasin); approxmately 7 miles from the project site. (No Affect) ////// Yellow
Lance is included in the IPaC TE list dated July 23, 2019. The proposed impacted jurisdictional feature is an excavated intermittent blue line stream
that has seasonal flow and no habitat for Yellow Lance. Also, review of the 12-digit HUC GIS element occurrence layer shows this species is not
included for the project identified 12-digit HUC. NCNHP database element occurrence shows Yellow Lance is in a 12-digit HUC two 12-digit HUC units
to the east of the project site (Cattail / Little River Subbasin); approxmately 7 miles from the project site. (No Affect) /////// Michaux!s Sumac (MS) is
