SUBJECT: Complaint regarding odor from the Bryant Hog Operation off Casstevens Road on the morning
of 1/22/2003
Dear Ms. Harrison:
The aforementioned complaint has been duly recorded in the Yadkin County Environmental Health
Citizens Complaint file. Said information was promptly forwarded to the North Carolina Department of
Environment and Natural Resources.
Information about odor from animal operations can be obtained by calling the toll free Air Awareness
hotline at 1-888-RU4NCAIR (1-888-784-6224) or by contacting the Division of Air Quality website at
h=://www.daa.state.nc.us.
The Division of Air Quality is responsible for dealing with objectable odors. Myron Whitley is the Air
Quality Supervisor for this area. He can be reached at 1-336-771-4608 extension 315. Concerns about
animal waste containment and treatment systems should be addressed to Melissa Rosebrock, Wastewater
Quality Specialist with the Winston-Salem Office of the North Carolina Division of Water Quality at 336-
771-4608 extension 265.
