Dear Mr. Patrick:
PERCS Unit of the Division of Water Resources has reviewed the Short Term Monitoring Plan
(STMP) submitted by the Town of West Jefferson. The STMP was received by the Division on
March 25, 2019. Additional information was requested and was received on July 9, 2019.
The review indicates that the STMP is adequate and meets the requirements needed to establish
a site -specific Headworks Analysis (HWA). Proper implementation of an STMP is also required by
your NPDES permit. Please refer to Comprehensive Guide for North Carolina Pretreatment
Programs for additional information and examples.
