oad). Project Area of Potential Effects is 300 feet from each end of the bridge and 75 feet from
each side of the bridge, Bridge No. 401 will be replaced with a new one -spars cored slab bridge
of 50 feet. fight-of=way information is unknown at this time. There is a possibility for
)ermanent utility and drainage easements.

are no National Register -listed or Study Listed properties within the project's area. of
potential effects.

Review of PQ clliad maps, HI'Uweb GIS mapping, historic designations roster, and indexes
was- conducted ozi 311/16. Based ors this review, there are tzo existing N, SL, ICE, LL► or SS
properties in the Area of Potential Effects (APE). Built in 1966, Bridge No. 401 has not been
evaluated for eligibility for listing to the National Register of Historic Places (NRP) according
to the North Carolina Historic Bridge Inventory Conducted to 2005. However, it appears to be a
standard bridge design with no remarkable architectural or engineering significance. According
to Haywood County tax records; there are at least three properties in the APE, over the age of
