Subject:U2579B sediment loss
Dave,
We had a sediment loss on the U-2579B project following rain events that totaled 1.472” from Wednesday thru
Saturday. The sediment loss was noted in today’s weekly walk through. No single event totaled 1” and did not trigger
an inspection. The sediment most likely accumulated over multiple rain events. The loss is at the large dissipater on
permit sheet 2 of 64. The sediment left the dissipater and overtopped the rock silt screen. I requested that they clean
up the dissipater but leave any sediment in the wetland. The vegetation is very thick in the wetland and I believe
removal would cause more damage. If you have any questions, let me know. Thanks.
