Notes and Sketches, etc
Walked FF1A - left bank grading (?), planting, fencing; relict wall left bank (significant sediment buildup behind -
historic ag load); only 1 grading bank repair on plan - requesting 2 additional areas & questioning 1 on plan (why not
alignment change based on current sharp curvature & active erosion); significant sediment deposition up & down of
confluence; with significant privet removal on banks will need to replant (recommend sycamore, live stake dogwood &
alder);
Invasives - privet, multiflora, honeysuckle vine, black walnut monoculture (requested by WRC - Andrea);
Wetland present along section of FF2;
Intact wall across FF1 C to remain, Reach downstream of dam - additional drainage channel within easement connects
with E2 channel - USACE JD as linear wetland;
Existing fencing with 2 lines will get an extra line; reinforce stream crossing;
Discussion - with easement crossing/breaks & multiple reaches with existing buffers would not accept project;
FF4A - large perpendicular ditch dug by leasee in corn planting (landowner apparently unaware) goes through
easement & connects to stream- major sediment loading; E1 for full right side benching & 1 brushy toe area;
recommend a few structures;
