Section D: Summary of Finding/Comments (Attach additional sheets of narrative and checklists as necessary)
Robbie Bullock and Randy Sipe with the Division of Water Resources met with Ben Ashba, Theodore
Triantafillopoulos (Catlin Engineering), Lisa Kirby and Victor Long (City of Greenville) to discuss Town
Creek. Culvert Drainage Improvement NPDES permit NC0089770.
The groundwater remediation system started operating in December 2018 and has not met all of the
NPDES permitted limits since the Groundwater Remediation System went online. The original system
has been taken oftline and a new groundwater treatment system has been installed. The new
Groundwater Remediation System consists of a settling tank, 10 micron bag filters, 2 Carbon filters
and 0.5 micron bag filters. The new groundwater remediation system was sampled last week and
Catlin is waiting on the results to see if the recently installed system will meet the NPDES permitted
limits.
The City of Greenville is Non -Compliant with NPDES permit NC0089770.
