Town of Mocksville Pretreatment Program, Davie County
Dear Mr. Settlemyer,
On February 19, 2019, Paul DiMatteo and Kelli Park of the Division of Water Resources
Winston-Salem Regional Office met with Chris Bitterman, Envirolink, Inc., to conduct a
Pretreatment Compliance Inspection at the above referenced wastewater treatment system.
The purpose of this inspection was to determine the effectiveness of the Town's pretreatment
program, which included: reviewing the files, POTW plant performance, sampling and
compliance judgement program, and adherence to the enforcement response plan (ERP).
Background
The City operates one 0.98 MGD facility and has one Significant Industrial User, which is
non -categorical.
POTW Interview
The Town's only significant industrial user did not discharge in 2018 due to production
being off line.
Mr. Bitterman said that there was recent turnover in the Pretreatment Coordinator
position, and that he was maintaining the program in an interim basis. Pretreatment
documentation was not available during the inspection. Division staff discussed upcoming
requirements and deadlines with Mr. Bitterman.

completed.
