Mickey, Mike From: Graznak, Jenny Sent: Sunday, September 14, 2014 4:00 PM To: Rosebrock, Melissa; Mickey, Mike Cc: Mitchell, Patrick Subject: Alamance complaint Complainant: Steve McPherson 9255 Snow Camp Road Snow Camp NC 27349 (336)263-6042 Mr. McPherson noticed that the stream on his property is black and foul-smelling. He specifically said it looked and smelled like "waste" or "sewage." He has two stream crossings on his farm. He has chicken houses and cows (fenced out of stream), he said. From the map, it appears to be Cane Creek or a LIT of Cane Creek? He said his neighbors have also noticed it and been concerned by it... enough to move their cattle to fields away from stream. Was first noticed by neighbors middle of last week, he thinks. He has been out of town for 2 weeks but he first noticed it on Friday afternoon. He mentioned that Synagro does land -apply biosolids in the area on a regular basis and wondered if that could be it but he didn't know for sure. He is also unsure about neighboring farms' waste storage, etc. - I got the call from Steve Lewis on Saturday night. I called Mr. McPherson this morning and told him I would come out on Monday to check it out. r fVl_JI 11 4v S vvov'e N 0 iDa d al vi0; TO _ct:(......... c- VVI19P Q+ Oovrrj O- h4a dEFT7 =9 \YWNF C ml SS SS— a mod)Op'iI in1—`— / I" ivy ' !1 r a f -vn -c01q.09151oL4 1: __----c.- ----- -- - ------ -- - ---- - - -- L4 ---- vlvy LCA- _- --r.
