This office has reviewed the subject erosion and sedimentation control plan. Ire ell
County Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control Ordinance hereby issues this letter of
Approval with ifc tions and Performance Reservations. A list of the modifications
and reservations is attached. This plan approval shall expire three years following the
ate of approval, if no land-disturbing activity has beenundertaken as required Title
1 129 and Section 9.6.6 oft the Ire ell County Land Development Code.
Should the plannot perform adequately, a revised planwill be required (G.S. II A-
5 .1)(b) and Section 9.6.1 oft e Ire ell County Land Development e).
Please be advised that Title 15A NCAC 4B011 ( ) and Section 9.6.9 of the Ire ell
County Land Development Code requires that a copy oft the approved erosion control
plan be on filet thejob site. Also, this letter gives notice as required y G.S. 11 -
1.1( ) and Section 1 . .2 oft e Ire ell County Land Development Code, of our right of
periodic inspection to insure compliance wit the approved plan.

implementation of the revisions to insure compliance with the Act and Code.
Acceptance and approval oft i is conditioned upon your compliance with Federal
and State water quality laws, regulations, and rules. In addition, local city or county
ordinances or rules may also apply to this land-disturbing activity. This approval does
not supersede any of permit or approval.
Please be aware that the project will be covered by the enclosed NPDES General
Storrnwatcr Permit NCG01000 (Construction Activities). You are responsible for
becoming familiar with all of the requirements for compliance regarding the general
permit.
Please note that this approval is based in part on the accuracy of the information provided
in the Financial Responsibility Form, which you provided. You are requested to file an
amended form if there is any change in the information included on the form. In
addition, it is required that this office to be notified of the proposed starting date for this
project. Please notify us when you plan to have a preconstruction conference.

MODIFICATIONS AND PERFORMANCE RESERVATIONS

Required changes are designated as "RC" ere authority from NC General
Statutes Chapter 113A Article 4 and the Iredell County Land Development Code.
Suggested changes are designated as 11SC" for improvement of the plan.
Modifications:
1. Diversion from east to Basin#2 should extend upslope in of of silt fence to
prevent runoff from running along silt fence. -RC
2. Turn silt fence up at all basin outlets. For PVC skimmer outlets, extend PVC
through silt fence. -RC
3. Slope drains needed for all diversions entering basins. Provide inlet and outlet
protection for slope drains. Provide details. --RC
4. Silt fence should extend her around Basin#3 and up the opposite side in order
to encapsulate all downslope sides of basin. -RC
5. Under the Erosion Control Notes#3, include Iredell County. RC
6. In the Construction Sequence, an initial inspection should be requested after#7
and before#8. -RC
7. In Phase 2, slopes greater than 10 feet in height need more protection than silt
fence. RC
8. In Phase 2, silt fence should be 10 feet off toe of slopes. ,-,-RC
9. Recommend matting slopes greater than 10 feet in height in Phase 2.
10. Basin Ws I and 2 shall not be removed without permission from Iredell County
Staff. ,-RC
11. Basin#3 shall not be converted into post-construction BMP without Iredell
County Staff's permission. This includes any work inside of the basin except for
routine maintenance. -RC
Performance Reservation(s):
1. Iredell County to recommends having area near grave sites surveyed with
ground penetrating radar to determine if any unmarked graves exist and that they
are not inside of the disturbed limits of the project. -SC
