The following additional information is provided to address violation NOV-2019-DV-0205,
Incident No. 201900792. On April 191", 2019, Marshall had a sanitary sewer overflow on Main Street
due to the French Broad River flooding event. The flood stage for Marshall is 8 feet and we experienced
moderate flooding of 12 feet, which completely submerged manholes in the Rollins Community. We
suspect infiltration into our sanitary sewer system from storm water causing the sanitary sewer
overflow. We have contacted NC Rural Water to assist us with pinpointing any possible infiltration.
Smoke testing has been scheduled for May 22"d, 2019.
