On May 1, 2019, Joan Schneier of the NC Division of Water Resources, Water Quality Regional Operations
Section conducted a compliance inspection in support of permit renewal. On the date inspected, the system
was brought into compliance during the inspection.
The septic tank was pumped out in April 2018. McFarland Septic has been doing regular maintenance and
had just completed maintenance and repairs on 4:26 '2019, per bill. This included replacing emitters and
raking the sand filter, sealing conduit ports in the control panel, repairing a leak in the headworks box, and
fixing the fence, among other items_ The high- water alarms had been checked from the float during my
earlier visit on March 13, 2019. During the May inspection, the alarms were checked from the test switch,
the UV bulb worked, and the headworks box was dry. The fence had been repaired. One small length had
come loose and was re -attached during the inspection. No leaks were found in the drip lines, although due
to the low pressures involved, I was not able to verify that the zones came on. Also, please see the attached
