Project Description 3a. Describe the existing conditions on the site and the general land use in the vicinity of the project at the time of this application: Site is formerly farmland, now a homesite. Previous owner attempted to redirect the stream channel by filling with construction and road debris and other waste materials. The property now is reverting to woodland but is hampered by invasive exotic vegetation and debris. The remainder of the watershed is very low density residential properties and rural agricultural land. 3b. List the total estimated acreage of all existing wetlands on the property: 0 3c. List the total estimated linear feet of all existing streams (intermittent and perennial) on the property: 450 feet of which 130 feet are perennial Wilson Creek and the remainder is an unamed intermittent tributary of Wilson Creek. 3d. Explain the purpose of the proposed project: Previous owners modified the unamed tributary stream channel by filling with debris. The channel is now incised with a major headcut working upstream. The current owners want to restore this stream to improve the water quality and habitat. This project will remove the debris and restore the stream to natural profile, dimensions and pattern. 3e. Describe the overall project in detail, including the type of equipment to be used: The unnamed tributary will be restored to a more natural stream using natural channel design. One piece of tracked heavy equipment will be used to remove all filled debris. Debris will be hauled off site. Wood and stone in-stream structures will be utilized to assure channel stability.Sediment and erosion control measures will be installed. Native vegetation, including trees, stakes, cover grasses and perennial grasses will be planted following construction. 4. Jurisdictional Determinations 4a.
