The French drain with Class A riprap and then the Class 2 riprap covering it has already been installed within the footprint of the originally proposed riprap. I would really rather the drains run straight to the stream than 90 around the approach. Mason <tmherndon@ncdot.gov> Subject: Onslow Bridge 11 changes to interior bent design Stephen, Brad, and Joanne, There have been design changes made to the interior bent on Onslow Bridge 11 over Starkeys Creek on SR 1434 Belgrade Swansboro Rd. (17BP.3.R.56). Action ID: SAW-2017-01367, CAMA General Permit# 70427. The original design called for a drilled shaft foundation at the interior bent (Bent #1), and the new design replaces the drilled shaft foundation with a HP 1403 pile bent. Please see the attached general drawings and substructure drawing sheets which show the interior bent changes with a revision notation (outlined with a different line style) and call -out note for the changes. The proposed bottom of cap low elevation is 8.74' (the original bottom of cap low elevation was 8.24'). Since the interior bent (Bent #1) location and is not changing, and it is located landward of the JS line, the permit drawings have not been revised. Please let me know if additional information is needed for a revision to our existing permits.
