REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION
Dear Mr. Miller:
On February 13, 2007, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application dated February
12, 2007, to place fill within or otherwise impact 0.0067 acres of open waters below the normal pool lake
level, 0.0033 acres of open waters above the normal pool lake level and shade 0.004 acres of open waters
above the normal pool lake level and impact 168 square feet of Zone 1Tar-Pamlico River basin protected
riparian buffer to construct a 147-foot bulkhead and 10'x16' dock and 12'x24' boathouse at the subject
property. The DWQ has determined that your application was incomplete and/or provided inaccurate
information as discussed below. The DWQ will require five copies of the additional information in order
to process your application to impact protected wetlands and/or streams on the subject property.
Therefore, unless we receive the additional information requested below, we will have to move toward
denial of your application as required by 15A NCAC 2H .0506 and will place this project on hold as
incomplete until we receive this additional information. Please provide the following information so that
we may continue to review your project.
Additional Information Requested:
1. Please clearly draw the proposed bulkhead on the site plan maps with Coyote Cv and Lot 23667.
2. Please provide across-sectional drawing on the second page of the site plan that says, "Full Pond
Shoreline" and "Lake (Full pond)", and follow directions 1-6..
3. Please clearly show the dimensions of the dock, boathouse and excavation area. It is not clear from
the site plan if the boathouse is 12x24 or 12x(24x14).
4. Please add a north arrow to the site plan.
5. From your attached photographs the vegetation appears to have woody shrubs, saplings and larger
trees. You will need to replant vegetation in the impacted area with like vegetation, i.e., trees with
trees, shrubs with shrubs, etc.

Please respond within three weeks of the date of this letter by sending this information to me in writing
and Mike Horan of the DWQ Raleigh Regional Office. If we do not hear from you within three weeks,
we will assume that you no longer want to pursue this project and we will consider the project as
withdrawn.
This letter only addresses the application review and does not authorize any impacts to wetlands, waters
or protected buffers. Please be aware that any impacts requested within your application are not
