Please refer to your October 1$, 19961etter to Seven Lakes Country Club,
Incorf~orated concernir-g the 401 Water Quality Ccrtification to impact 1.54 acres of waters
and/or wetlands for residential development and septic drain field located in Seven Lakes,
Moore County, North Carolina.
Representing Seven Lakes County Club, Inc., we are requesting a 30 days or more
extension to provide you with additional information you have requested. We are currently
examining alternative designs to make it a viable project while trying to minimize wetland
impacts. Today I spoke to Mr. Ken AveritGe, NCDEM, and verbally make this request, He
said he would inform you of our request and discuss the project with you tomorrow. He
thought that an extension was not an unreasonable request. Please let me know of your
decision before the November 1, 1996 deadline. Seven fakes Country Club, Inc. still
wants to pursue this project and we do no# want this project to be withdrawn.
The Corps of Engineers issued Nationwide Permit No. 26 for 1.54 acres for this
project after the 30 day comment period on September 3, 1996 and confirmed by letter
dated October 21, 1996.
I will be out of the office after 10:00 a. m. tomorrow, and Friday afternoon.
