Dear Mr. Davidson:
Metropolitan Sewerage District (MSD) is in receipt of the NOV-2019-MV-0069 sent April 3, 2019, for
December 2019, monitoring violation. This monitoring violation was the result of a laboratory error.
Our operational staff collected the sample following appropriate chain of custody requirements;
however, Pace labs personnel made a log -in error. This error resulted in the sample being set for BOD
analysis instead of the correct cBOD testing. The BOD results could not be report on the monthly, DMR
in place of the cBOD (therefore the omission).
The BOD results for December 4, 2018, were 17.1 mg/) indicating no environmental harm since the
cBOD component would only be less and within permitted limits.
