On May 18, 1995, wastewater was observed in Swamp Creek adjacent to your facility.
This tributary is classified C Sw within the Roanoke River Basin. DEM Water Quality
Staff initially observed wastewater seeping from several points along the toe of the dike
wall which borders Swamp Creek, surface waters of the State. No other animal
operations are located within the immediate area of this tributary. Photographs were
taken indicating that a discharge event had occurred.
