Dixie Farm
Facility No. 63-03 Permit No. AWS630003
Moore County
Dear Mr. Purvis:
You are hereby notified that, having been permitted to have a non discharge permit for
the subject animal waste disposal system pursuant to 15A NCAC 2H.0217, you have been
S found to be deficient in your 2H .0217 Permit.
On May 3, 2000, staff from the Fayetteville Regional Office of the Division of Water
Quality conducted an inspection of the Dixie Farm in Moore County. It was observed that
weekly freeboard levels had not been recorded. It was also noted that the rye overseed needs to
be cut to avoid shading the bermuda crop.

In regard to the deficiency noted during the inspection, the following actions are
requested:
Cut and bale the overseed in the bermuda fields as soon as possible. Rye overseed must
be cut prior to heading.
2. Keep weekly freeboard levels as required.
Please provide a written response to this office on or before May 12, 2000.as to the
actions taken or proposed to be taken to resolve this deficiency. Nothing in this letter should
be taken as absolving this facility of the responsibility and liability of any violations that have
resulted or may result from these deficiencies.
