Corey Basinger, Regional Supervisor Mooresville Regional Office Water Quality Regional Operation Section Division of water Resources, NCDEQ Subject: Notice of Violation August 30, 2018 Dear Mr. Basinger: RECEIVED/NCDENR/DWR OCT 17 2018 WOROs MOORESVILLE REGIONAL OFFICE This letter is in regards to the NOV that we the Town of Landis received Dated August 30, 2018. We have taken the required steps to get in compliance of the Notice of Violation since receiving you're repGrt.-VVL-Have-Installed-thre,e-nov,Lemergencoights-at the -three liftstations-that-wereinsluestion. The repairs to these lights where 14 hundred dollars and the work was performed by a contract company named Gopher utility. Also I have since implemented a new work order program that is to be filled out daily by my staff and I will keep each and every work order for a minimum of three years. We try to continuously improve our system as finances become available. I have also made it a point to check the pump station reports as often as 1 possibly can to insure that we do not have a repeat of this issue in the future. Also we have started improving on our documentation in regards to our right of way maintenance and inspections and will strive to improve more and more as this will be a work of progress. I hope that this letter will serve as a good faith effort to show that the Town of Landis strives to meet all of the State of North Carolina expectations and will continue to work and improve our town. I have enclosed with this letter a photograph of the lights we have installed. It will only be a picture of one of the station but it will serve as all 3 stations due to all the lights are the same. I also am including a copy of the work order system that I have implemented. Sincerely Chris Ritchie ORC Town of Landis. an \/ })` 5, tz- 14 -.4 }|j |. \ \ \ \l E
