Comments:
This house will be elevated to 8 -feet above the ground surface and have gutters
that will collect stormwater to be routed outside the buffer and diffuse via a splash
pad back through the buffer. The attached deck will be uncovered slat Wold
construction with grass underneath.
D. Impact Justification and Mitigation
1. Avoidance and Minimization
1a. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing the project.*
This will be a decrease of the overall riparian buffer impacts by utilizing the existing
garage footprint for the new location of the house.
1b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques.*
This will be a decrease of the overall riparian buffer impacts by utilizing the existing
garage footprint for the new location of the house. In addition, the house will be
raised 8 -feet and the attached deck will be uncovered slat wood construction with
vegetation underneath it.
E. Diffuse Flow Plan
1a. What type of SCM are you providing?*
I— Level Spreader
r Vegetated Conveyance (lower SHWT)
F- Wetland Swale (higher SHWT)
r- Proposed project will not create concentrated stormwater flow through the
buffer
rJ Other SCM that removed minimum of 30% nitrogen
1b. Describe how diffuse flow will be maintained:*
The stormwater generated on the portion of the house encroaching within the
buffer, stormwater will be collected via guttering and directed outside the buffer and
then diffuse back through the buffer.
