Thanks again for taking Rick and me along on the site visit to SGL Carbon last spring. I apologize for how long it's taken
me to write the staff report and draft a permit; we been juggling a lot in the past six months up here. I will send a signed
hard copy of the staff report, but I wanted to go ahead and get you the digital copy; I will be out of town all next week at
the Laserfiche Conference.
Linda, did any language go into the WW permit about sampling outside of storm events, or was this only communicated
to the staff when we were on site? I couldn't find it, but I remembered your original recommendation for it, and I know
you discussed it with lab staff. We are grateful to DWR for keeping us in the loop on this complicated site and keeping
us in tune with the wastewater and potential water quality issues here. Also, the draft does not include any special
conditions, but I'm interested in both your thoughts about adding one to address ways to sample stormwater
separately. We can all talk more next month.
