Adam,
I have started reviewing the above referenced projects and the following item is required in order to complete the
review process:
In the Neuse River Basin, intermittent streams, perennial streams, lakes, ponds and estuaries depicted on USGS
maps and NRCS soil survey maps are subject to the Riparian Buffer Rules. [15A NCAC 02B .0233 (8)(b)(iv)]. If a
stream is depicted on either map it is subject to the riparian buffers. The USGS topographic map depicts two
features near Lot 9 and 10. [Note: if the maps inaccurately depict surface waters you must consult the Division
to secure a formal on-site determination. DWR's file review revealed that the riparian buffers have NOT
received formal verification by the Division.]
I have attached a buffer determination request form for your convenience.

Looks like we are going to have to let them confirm the stream location.
I did not see the second stream branch that is showing -up on the USGS topo and soil maps. I
think it may intersect with the main run beyond the north end of Lot 9 and the GIS maps are
inaccurate.
(The northern point of lot 9 is in the run of the stream and I did not venture across to the other
side.)

This on-site determination shall expire rive (5) years from the date of this letter. Landowners or affected
parties that dispute a determination made by the DWR may request a determination by the Director. An
appeal request must be made within sixty (60) days of date of this letter. A request for a determination by the
