Subject: RE: DRAFT Risk Assessment FAQ
I wasn't aware that the EPA had established any standard for GenX — if so, please let me know that value.
What I was trying to do with that new sentence is set up the expectation that once the EPA or CDC or your EMC issued
some regulatory guidance, our assessment (and its associated level/goal) would be moot and need to be withdrawn.

If the thought is to use EPA's assessment in the end, should we use the value we have EPA's consensus with right now,
as we continue to work with EPA on their finalization?

One final round of input (I promise). The more significant edits include:
Question #3: | revised the second paragraph to note that additional goa|sUeve|svvere established for 4other groups
(older children thruadults) ... and noted the range to3OOto64Oppt). | also Reformatedthe third paragraph and
putting in bullet form the three primary drivers which describe the updated assessment. | also inserted a sentence at
the end of the fourth paragraph that speaks to what happens when the EPA issues their own assessment (some time in
the future). I suggested DHHS would withdraw its assessment. |sthat acorrect assumption?
Question#4: | revised the wording inthe first two paragraphs.
Question#S: 1 revised the opening sentence so that we clearly state that no recommendation is being made.

Importance: High
Hi all,
We have attempted to incorporate feedback received so far in the attached version. Please circulate this to other state
partners who might: need to review.
Our goal is to have this posted and have a press release ready to go as soon as the QA/QC process is completed. Any
feedback you can provide before then would be appreciated. Also, please let me know if there is a draft release from
DEQ that we could review to help move that part along. Thanks.
