Subject: Forum on GenXand Water Quality
Good afternoon Mrs. Culpepper,
My name is Tyler Wittkofsky. l an/ the Public Information Officer with Brunswick Regional Water and Sewer
B2G(], ovvatcr providerthat serves most ofnorthern Brunswick County. Since the breaking news ofGenXand
other contaminates found in our drinking water mopn|y (The Cope Fear i there have been two forums on
the issue ofthe quality ofour drinking water inNew Hanover County (one ofwhich lknow you participated in
onocmUy),however there have been none inBrunswick County. Asonative nfBrunswick County and uo
employee of a local water utility, I want to bring a forum to Brunswick County so that our residents can learn
about itwithout having totravel across the bridge.
OEQ-CFVV_00021932
The reason for my email today is to see if you would be interested in participating or having someone from
DEQ in a forum to discuss the study and the water quality of our drinking water supply. I am only in the
planning stages, but I want to gauge the interest of potential panelists. I want the panel to consists of experts and
focus on the issue at hand and not turn political. I will be reaching out to potential panelists in the forthcoming
days and when I have an idea of the interest of those willing to participate, I will be working on getting
available dates for our venue and finding out the availabilities of the panelists according to the venues openings.
I hope to fast -track this forum to come within a few weeks, if not sooner.
Please let me know your interest in participating or having someone participate at your earliest convenience and
we will go from there.
Thank you for your time,
Tyler Wittkofsky
