Dear Dr. Shehee and Mr. Scott::
The Division of Water Resources (DWR) has initiated a review of the existing Interim MmximumAllowable
[onoentrations(iMACs). D\NRisreviewing t:heIMA[sinaccordance with Rule 15AN[ACO2L—OZQZand the SOP for
Reviewing Groundwater Standards that was mutually developed by our respective agencies. DVVRrequests secondary
review mfthese proposed groundwater standards by DHHS and DVV40 in accordance with the SOP.
Attached please find supporting documentation including more detailed correspondence from Ms, Linda Culpepper,
newly formatted groundwater standards documentation and an EXCEL spreadsheet summarizing the proposed North
Carolina groundwater standards for this initial group ofcompounds. Also included isapublication byGadaQobietai,
2010 that provides background information for proposed IMAC changes for acetochlor ESE and acetochlor OXA.
Please advise if there are any questions or if further information is required.
