The Division of Water Resources (DWR) has initiated a review of the existing Interim Maximum
Allowable Concentrations (IMACs). DWR is reviewing the IMACs in accordance with Rule

the IMACs to your respective divisions in groups of 5-10 chemicals to facilitate the secondary
reviews.
In accordance with the SOP dated January 20, 2011 (attached), DWR requests DPH and DWM
review the enclosed supporting documentation and provide comments to DWR on the proposed
02L standards revisions for the following substances:
• Acetochlor
(IMAC unchanged from 20 10)
• Acetochlor ESA
(IMAC established 2010, changes proposed)
• Acetochlor OXA
(IMAC established 2010, changes proposed)
• Acetophenone
(IMAC unchanged from 2011)
• Acrolein
(IMAC unchanged from 2010)
DWR has enclosed its documentation for groundwater standard calculation sheets and summary
documents. The groundwater standard calculation sheet is now condensed to a single page that
includes identification of the critical health effect, inclusion of the estimated practical
