A few things to note in this permit - There are nolimits for GenXorHFPOdimeracid The one Stormwater and several Process wastewater Outfalls 001, 002, 005, 105 have monitoring for PFOA in the permit itislisted asfollows: Ammonium PeMOuorooctanoate—report and monitor only (ie.nolimits) The long list of chemical limitations you see under process wastewater outfalls 002 and 005 are required as part of the Federal Effluent Guidelines for Organic Chemicals, Plastics, and Synthetic Fibers (OCPSF) Point Source Category (40 CFR Part 414)—they are listed in[hemoursN[permit aswell. There are a few special conditions that might be useful to put in INIC's renewal of the Chemours permit (Section C No.16 —1D)—|need tolook into it. The Washington Works permit 1Z79)was last issued back inZ0U3 according to our records, and keeps getting administratively extended. Would it be possible to obtain the permit that is currently in place? Molly, are you sure it's the Belle Plant you are interested in? The [hemouoplant inVVVthat had been manufacturing PFOA (and releasing it) was their Washington Works plant in Washington, WV located on the Ohio River. Their Belle Plant manufactured chemicals for the agriculture industry and is located on the Kanawha River. VVedon't have any info for that permit. VVVOOOZ399isthe facility's main NPDESpermit. K4yrecords show that hexpired un6/3O/ZU13and has been administratively extended ever since. The last draft permit xvesaw was back inJO1S,inwhich vveprovided a OEQ-CFVV_00013487 number of commentstothe State. VVehave not heard anything onthe reissuanceofthis permit since then. This permit has been on the priority permit candidate list the last couple of years, but has not been selected by the State. It probably makes more sense for your NC contact to get in touch with our WVDEP contact to get an understanding of what WV is developing for this reissuance.
