They are referenced in the consent order of the EPA for the DuPont: Company, and I wont to make sure I understand which chemicals they are referencing (i.e. Gen-X, 1,4 dioxane, etc). In that: same consent: order ... there is a "byproduct exemption" that said the requirements to capture PMN substances do not apply when the substance is produced as o byproduct, only when PMN is the intended product being produced. Why Would that: be? If it's dangerous to put in the water, Wouldn't it be irrelevant whether it was being intentionally produced or being produced as a byprodUct? Where is the 1,4 Dioxane coming from that: has been found in the Cape Fear River? Chemours or somewhere else? The samples where are numbers are coming from are from the fall of 2015. Is there more current sample data available? We knew that Chemours said they had taken measures that had reduced Gen-X output by 80`,:d>, but we are just wondering if there is any way to prove that through more recent data, took forward to hearing back from you about: an interview time, Thank you! We are specifically interested in 1,4 dioxane, and information on its effects on people as best as it's understood at this point in time. Dr. Knappe mentioned Tammy is familiar with DEQ"s current monitoring program. I was wondering if I would be able to interview each of you on this topic via Skype tomorrow. I'm thinking you have slightly different areas of expertise in regard to the this issue, so talking to both of you would be helpful. Gen--X seems to be all people around here are talking about, so any information of substance we could add to the equation would be welcorne. DEQ-CFW 00013386 Please let me brow if you would be available -tomorrow, Sometime between 9. 0arn and 11:3 am would be ideal if possible on your end.
