Our office has received a request for a statement on GenX from WHQR radio. Below is what we plan to provide.
Clean water is a necessity and families and businesses in the Cape Fear region are understandably concerned about their
water. Governor Cooper has asked the Department of Environmental Quality to work with the Department of Health
and Human Services and local officials to get to the bottom of this immediately, and to demand answers from the EPA
and the company that produces the chemical.
