1. Who are the speakers you have lined up so far?
A host of state, local elected officials have committed.
Exec dir of Cape Fear Public Utility Authority and chairman of CFPUA board are coming.
Biologist Larry Cahoon of UNCW, couple other UNCW academics
New Hanover Health Director Phil Tarte
Couple environmental lawyers
Head of Wilmington Chamber
Chemours is still thinking about attending.
Haven't heard anything definite back from EPA
DHHS looks like they'll send someone.
2. Will the presentations be individual 10 minute presentations and then folks will participate in the panel
discussion, or will the presentations be part of the panel?
Here's the rough outline:
Date: Wednesday, June 28
Time: 7 p.m.
Location: Kenan Auditorium, UNCW
WWAY will stream the meeting
WHQR will broadcast the forum live on WHQR News 91.3 FM.
Presented by: StarNews, WWAY and WHQR
i
DEQ-CFW 00074505
Moderators: Si Cantwell, StarNews; Amanda Fitzpatrick, WWAY; Vince Winkel, WHQR
Moderator intro, explains Q&A process -- 5 minutes
One speaker on what's being done -- 10 minutes
One speaker on human impacts -- 10 minutes
One speaker on legal and moral issues -- 10 minutes
One speaker on economic impacts -- 10 minutes
Moderator explains Q&A process -- 5 minutes
Q&A -- 1 hour, 10 minutes
Moderator finishes -- explains where to get information in future
The bulk of the event will be a Q & A, so if don't speak in that first 10 mins, don't have to make an introductory
statement. Basically, just there to answer questions, and will remain on stage the entire time. Questions will be collected
ahead of time and read by the moderators. No interaction with audience until afterwards, l guess.
3> Could you send us your questions that will be directed at DEQ?
Still unsure about that, since not sure how the questions are being handled once they are submitted. Will update
when know more.
Clear as mud?

We have a couple of questions regarding the public forum next week and hope you can help.
1. Who are the speakers you have lined up so far?
2. Will the presentations be individual 10 minute presentations and then folks will participate in the panel
discussion, or will the presentations be part of the panel.
3. Could you send us your questions that will be directed at DEQ?
We are still deciding on who would be able to participate and haven't made a final decision yet, but need the
information before we can.
Thanks for your help.
