Recent test_results of GenX found in the Cape Fear River at outfal 02 indicate there is a general trend

water at water treatment plants', nstrearn Qf t Chemours facilities are also seeing a general trend
downward but 66sampling round has seenf est re ult above the current DHHS health risk goal of
140 ppt. We are expected to see EPA; National Exposure Research Lab test results for other GenX
related compounds from' -he Chemours wastewater discharge and sampling conducted at water utilities
above and below the discharge "point later in Augusts 2017. Those results will assist the state in setting
NPDES parameters for a draft'renewal permit. Having acTss to the CBI material for all the
manufacturing at the facility will ensure we have addresPall chemicals of concern in the permitting
process.
A list of individuals we request have access to the TSCA CBI material follows:
• Dr. Amy Risen (DHHS) and Connie Brower (DEQ) —access to all available health studies.
• Dr. Zack Moore (DHHS) and Linda Culpepper (DEQ) — access to identification of all
chemicals used and generated at the facility from all chemical manufacturing areas.
