New/Emerging Issues from :30 a.m. Call:
• DEQ and DHHS have both sent draft letters to the Governor's office for the response to the Senate on the
fending request.
• EPA Week 6 results have been delayed by the report that the RTP lab is compiling on the nine other "non -
targeted" chemical compounds. DEQ will check with the EPA on a timetable for Week 6 results.
• The EPA is convening a meeting on Aug. 22 with DEQ and DHHS to review its sampling results of the other nine
chemical compounds. DHHS will send DECK a list of attendees.
• Brief discussion on the weekly call with federal, state and local government officials scheduled for tomorrow.
The local delegation has requested a monthly call with the EPA, so DECK is trying to figure out a plan moving
forward (i.e. local delegation may not need to be on weekly call going forward)..
