Neither Rebecca not myself are currently involved in activities associated with GenX in the Cape Fear. From what I
understand, the Division's CW folks are engaged at this point, but I do not know their level of engagement. I spoke with
the Section Chief and she recommends you contact Ms. Julie Gryzb, as this has been the person quoted in the local
paper. You might also contact our PIO, Maria Sink (919-707-9033). It is likely that she can connect you with the most
appropriate person to discuss. Thanks.

(I originally sent this to Rebecca and noticed that she will be out of the office until June 19.)
The latest SWP issue that I have been hearing about is GenX in the Cape Fear River. Our
Division Director, Mary Walker, has asked about it.
Do you have any material that you can send me? That way we have a consistent message with
consistent information.
From the news sources, I keep reading about drinking water levels from the Cape Fear near
Wilmington (LCFWSA). What about any GenX sample results from Bladen Bluffs? This intake
looks to be less than 5 miles below the Chemours facility.
