The drinking water acts and regulations do not have standards for GenX or the other chemicals mentioned as these are considered emerging contaminants for which regulations and maximum contaminant levels have not been established. Information regarding the Department of Environmental Quality investigation of GenX can be found at: https://deg.nc.gov/news/hot-topics/genx-investigation. Bob R.W. (Bob) Midgette, P.E. Here is an inquiry regarding public water supplies from the Cape Fear Region. Can you help craft a response to the submission? The issue appears to be very technical in nature. I have to get a response back in soon. Thanks for all your help.
