Those results have not yet been through the QA/QC process. • DHHS contacted local health directors in Bladen and Cumberland counties on Friday to update them on Chemours' preliminary test results for sites near the facility. DEQ-CFW 00084748 DEQ initiated on Friday a separate sampling plan and reached about a quarter of the 41 wells in its initial sampling phase. As it samples, DEQ is gathering information on the depth of the well and if the home has a filtration system already in place. State representative Scott Stone recently contacted DEQ with some background questions in advance of next week's committee meeting. He was particularly interested in the health goal set for GenX. Local Wilmington officials have scheduled a call for tomorrow between EPA, DEQ and DHHS. The expectation is that local officials will mainly be interested in hearing an update from the federal level. DEQ, DHHS and EPA will participate in a call on Monday afternoon to finalize the agenda/expectations for Tuesday's call.
