The N.C. Department of Environmental Quality will ensure the order is met and discharges have ceased by continuing to conduct water quality monitoring near[hemours' wastewater discharge outfa|| and at multiple sites downstream ofthe facility. Chemours has informed the state they are containing the Nafion byproducts onsite and then taking it offsite for incineration, similar to the company's disposal methods used for the wastewater containing the GenX byproduct.
