The partial consent order addresses the issues the state raised with regard to protection of surface water. The court on
Friday ordered [hemoursto continue preventing the discharge ofprocess wastewater containing GenX into waters of
the state. The court's order also requires Chemours to immediately prevent the discharge of PFESA compounds, which
the EPA has identified as Nafion byproducts 1 and 2, until a state wastewater discharge permit with appropriate permit
conditions isissued.
The consent order also addresses the outstandinR reauests for information the state has made of the company this
summer.
