Chemoursproperty inB|adenCounty. Fourteen monitoring wells were sampled and results
show detections of GenX in 13 of the 14 wells. All detections are above the DHHS health goal of
140 ppt. PFOA compounds were also discovered in 4 wells above the 70 ppt health goal.
w DEQ is discussing with Chemours the need to sample private wells beyond the perimeter of the
w DEQ is also actively working on alternative water provisions with Chemours in case they are
needed. These options include bottle m/aterandu|timate|ypoint+of+entryfi|trationsystemsor
municipal water line extensions, if needed based on private well sampling results.
* DE{lis also working on a public information session for next week to discuss data related to the
facility and to answer questions. Depending on the weather forecast, the information session
will beatSt. Paul's Middle School on9/14from 6-7:3Opm.
* DEQ staff are evaluating the hydrogeology at the site and the interaction of groundwater and
surface water at the facility.
