FORM B SPECIFIC EMISSIONS SOURCE INFORMATION (REQUIREDtib Att ' Es) REVISED 12/01/01 NCDENR/Division of Air Quality - Application for Air Permit to Construct/Operate B EMISSION SOURCE DESCRIPTION: Diesel Engine for Emergency Electrical Generator EMISSION SOURCE ID NO: RICE-03 CONTROL DEVICE ID NO(S): None OPERATING SCENARIO -1-OF-1 EMISSION POINT (STACK) ID NO(S): EP-RICE-03 DESCRIBE IN DETAILTHE EMISSION SOURCE PROCESS (ATTACH FLOW DIAGRAM): This emission source is a stationary emergency generator that is powered by a 197 HP (147 kW) diesel engine. The diesel engine is subject to the Part 63 Subpart ZZZZ RICE MACT. An emergency stationary RICE may be operated for a maximum of 100 hours per calendar year for maintenance checks and readiness testing. There is no time limit on the use of emergency stationary RICE in emergency situations. Per NC-DAQ policy for emergency engines, potential emissions are based on 500 hr/yr of operation.
