Great Chad! Thank you so much to both of you for making time on short notice.
Google Maps tells me it will take me 1.5 hours to the Public Works Commission, 955 Old
Wilmington Road, Fayetteville. (Correct address?) I can plan to leave Durham by 7:30. To be
safe regarding morning traffic etc., shall we plan to meet at 9:30?
Is there anything you think I should read in advance of our interview? Would it be possible for
DEQ-CFW-00048556
me to get a peek at any adjustments you've made to your water treatment, intake processes to
address the presence of 1,4 dioxane?
Best wishes,
Cathy

Hi Chad and Mick. I'm resenting my message to you. Can I come to Fayetteville this week and
talk to you about your creative response to the detection of 1,4 dioxane?
All the best,

Hi Chad. I must apologize for taking so darn long to get back in touch. My work for NC Health
News got gobbled up legislative coverage for much of the time since we spoke way back in May.
The coal ash story persisted after that.
But I am finally able to turn back to this important story. I'd love to drive down to Fayetteville to
talk over the work you folks have done to respond to findings about 1,4 dioxane. If it's feasible
DEQ-CFW-00048558
to do so early next week, I'd love to head down then.
