In accordance with the North Carolina Public Records Act, N.C. Gen. Stat. §§ 132-1, et
seq., we request the opportunity to review the following "Public Records" (as defined in Section
132-1, hereinafter "Public Records"):
1. All Public Records maintained by DEQ, including without
limitation, Permitting I * and/or the Water Qu
Regional Operations Section related to (a) the facility in Fayetteville, NC
currently owned by The Chemours Company and formerly owned by
DuPont .'! operatesunderPDPermit No.ff.
"Facility"), (b) the polymer processing aid known as Gen-X, and/or (c) any
of the chemical substances referred to as C3 Dimer Acid, HFPO Dimer
Acid, the ammonium salt of C3 Dimer Acid, or the ammonium salt of
HFPO Dimer Acid (hereinafter collectively referred to as "C3 Dimer");
2. Tfithout limiting the generality of item 1, all Public Records
related to communications concerning the Facility, Gen-X or C3 Dimer
between DEQ and one or more of the following: (a) Cape Fear Public
Utility Authority (including its counsel); (b) Clean Cape Fear; (c) North
Carolina Department of Health and Human Services; (d) the United
States Environmental
Protection

or person claiming to represent or be a person actually or potentially
exposed to or injured by any discharges or emissions from the Facility;
3. Without limiting the generality of item 1, all Public Records
related to any studies, investigations, sampling, analysis, or reports
regarding Gen-X, C3 Dimer or any other fluorocarbon compounds found
in the Care Fear River, including any Public Records related to studies
