Dear Ms. Holman:
Pursuant to 40 CFR 270.42(a)(1)(ii), the permittee of a RCRA Hazardous Waste Management
Permit must send a notice of a Class 1 modification to all persons on the facility mailing list, and
to the appropriate units of State and local government. This notification must be made within 90
calendar days after the change is put into effect.
The Chemours Company — Fayetteville Works ("Chemours"), located in Bladen County, North
Carolina, has implemented a Class 1 modification of its RCRA Hazardous Waste Management
Permit, and as such is sending you this notice as required by § 270.42(a)(1)(ii).
The subject modification was the replacement of the Waste DMSO Storage Tank's secondary
containment coating from Plasite 5602 to a coating system of Derakane® 510 C-350 epoxy vinyl
ester resin and Ceilcote® 242 Flakeline.

The physical modification of the secondary containment's coating was completed on October 12.
2015.
Since the two coating are functionally equivalent, this permit change qualified as a Class 1
modification per section (A)(3) of Appendix I to 40 CFR 270.42.
