This is a follow-up letter to the one sent on August 29, 2017 requesting Chemours to
immediately explore any and all options to reduce or eliminate the release of the chemicals
having formulas C7HF1305S and C7H2F1405S. In addition, the Division requests that Chemours
evaluate and explain what process these chemicals are being discharged from and where in the
2016 NPDES permit renewal application this process is identified along with the wastewater
characterization describing the chemicals being used in the process.
