The North Carolina Hazardous Waste Section (HWS) has completed a review of the revised
version of Final RCRA Facility hivesti ati�on Report. The HWS has determined that the document meets
the requirement-, for a IICRA, Facility Investigation 'I) report and is approved by the HWS.
As discussed during our telephone conversation of December 5, the HWS is not prepared to
request that DuPont -Fayetteville submit a Corrective Measures Study (CMS) work plan at this time. The
HWS prefers to wait until results from the proposed PFC groundwater sampling progam have been
evaluated. The IIWS will establish the due date for a CMS work plan in accordance with DuPont-
Fayettewille's RCRA permit (i.e., permit Condition V.H.I .A.). ']'his permit condition requires a written
notification from the HWS.
